‘The 2020 Steytler Vision is a blend. It has a complex bouquet with red and black fruit, quite Syrah-like in style, very pure and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent and quite fleshy opening, great depth and balance, succulent black cherries laced with tar and allspice on the finish. ‘Now Pinotage driven to reflect the variety's importance on the farm, this is completed by 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot. The new oak needs a few more years to integrate fully into the wine, but this has the intensity and focus to age well, with sinewy tannins, damson and black cherry fruit and a toasty finish.
